U19 Timothy Sates
Following their success in the 2 major galas to date, the WBHS 1st swimming team powered to another convincing victory in the KZN Top 8 Gala held at Kingspark on 17 February.
Despite being pushed, in particular by Kearsney and Clifton in certain races, the Westville swimmers won 23 out of the 26 races. An encouraging feature was the continued improvement of the U16 age group which won four of their five races, with Lucian Matthysen and Aden Parker coming from behind to secure two close wins.
The U14 team was most impressive in winning all their races by wide margins.
