Westville Boys’ High School is one of the top golf playing schools in South Africa.
Our golf teams play in a number of tournaments each year, including the KZN Inter-Schools Championship, the Dainfern Collegiate Inter-Schools Tournament and the St John’s College International High Schools Championship. Traditional fixtures are also played against local schools each year.
The school hosts its own internal annual strokeplay and matchplay championships.
Westville golfers are regularly selected for the KZN teams, and occasionally for the South Africa schools teams.
Two Westville old boys are performing well in international tournaments. Keith Horne won the silver medal at the World Games in 1993 and turned professional in 1996. He has won five tournaments on the Sunshine Tour. Bryce Easton captained three South African junior teams. He turned professional in 2007. He plays on both the Asian and Sunshine Tours, and has won two tournaments in the latter tour.
