TRANSFORMATION

TRANSFORMATION AT WESTVILLE BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL

As an educational institution in South Africa, Westville Boys’ High School has made many changes in the past 2 decades. In particular, we have focused on the need to be a transforming institution to remain relevant in our society, while ensuring that all deserving boys can attend WBHS in order to unlock their full potential.

Over the past 3 years in particular, there has been a conversation around intentional transformation, involving everyone from staff, learners and Old Boys, to the School Governing Body and the WBHS Foundation. In response to the insights we have gained during this process, we have compiled a Statement of Intent which
seeks to acknowledge the shortfalls of the past, and commit to establishing a WBHS that is inclusive and accepting now and well into the future.
