Good day my fellow Westville Old Boys

I am writing this letter to you during the most unprecedented times, and with a heavy heart. You will all be aware of the measures put in place as a result of the announcement by President Ramaphosa relating to Coronavirus and the SA Government’s measures to contain the spread of the disease. We understand that all families have been affected by these changes, both on a national and international level and as a result, the Westville Old Boys’ Association Committee, together with the Headmaster and other role players have made a difficult decision to postpone the REUNION WEEKEND scheduled to take place from 28 – 30 May 2020.

At this stage, there are no easy options available. It is clear to us that any deviation from the current situation is not going to suit everyone involved. We also realise that it is impractical for travel arrangements to be made by the overseas-based Old Boys who intended coming to the reunion. However, it is the wellbeing of our current boys, the Old Boys and their families, together with the entire community that is our priority in making this decision.

Over the next few months, we will continue to look at various options available to us and we will keep you updated on developments.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you good health. Now, more than ever, we will stand firm and strong.

Incepto Ne Desistam

Regards
Dieter Kriese
Westville Old Boys’ Association Chairman
