Joshua Dannhauser receiving his award from Headmaster, Trevor Hall.

The Pro Meritis Award is the highest accolade granted to a pupil, and is not awarded very often. Joshua Dannhauser received this award following his selection for the SA Men’s Swimming team which competed in the All-Africa Games this year. He won three medals at that event: one Gold medal in the 4x200m Relay, and two Bronze medals in the 800m and 1500m Freestyle events. He was selected to represent the country at the FINA World Championships in 2015 and went on to win two medals at the SA Senior Championships.  Joshua has been an integral part of the success of the WBHS A Swimming team for the past five years. His commitment to his goals, together with his engaging personality and strong character, reflect the values that make him a worthy recipient of this prestigious award.
