As a School we are constantly looking to improve and upgrade our facilities. Add to this that Boarding has become an integral part of everyday life at WBHS. To this end the WBHS Foundation has come on board to re-model 6 Huberta Road which will effectively add 20 more beds to the house, giving it a capacity of 28 with room for three boarder masters.
The cost of the project is R3m.
We are grateful to contractor and Old Boy, Brandon Barnes from On-the-Inside and to our architect and Principle Agent, Jane Long for the work completed so far. The projected date for completion is 31 May 2021.
*The WBHS Foundation has recently been established to complement the role of the Trust. It is registered as a public benefit organisation and a non-profit company and offers opportunities for advertising and BBBEE points. The Foundation has raised over R9 million, which has provided numerous bursaries to deserving learners, has added significant improvements to the WBHS campus and enabled the purchase of four Boarding Establishments. Currently the boarding establishment adjacent to Commons Field is being expanded and remodelled to cater for the increase in demand for boarding.
