Westville 1st Hockey played DHS on Sat 12 April at the Westville Astro. Westville coming off a comfortable 8-1 win vs Thomas More on Thursday 10 April, were favourites to get the win.

Westville had the lions share of possession in the 1st half creating many goal scoring opportunities but failing to put the ball in the back of the goals. Substitute Mbuso Mgobozi finally slotted in his first goal for the 1st team beating the DHS goalkeeper with a reverse stick push taking Westville into the break with a one nil lead.

The second half started well for Westville with lots of possession again which was converted into a well worked goal in the first minute. Westville scored another goal five minutes later from a short corner taking the score to 3 nil. Ten minutes into the second half DHS got their first opportunity in the game to score with a quick counter attack which resulted in a goal. Westville then went into the next gear and scored another 3 goals taking the score to 6-1 and putting the game out of reach for DHS. Man of the match was Alastair Tyrell who scored a hatrick coming off the bench for Westville. Final score was 6-1.
