Softball report:
Dayle Freemantle, Reece Nyland, Courtney Rogers, Brendan Brooks, Dylan O’Brien and Jordan Atkin were all part of the KZN U19 IPT Softball Team that played in Mafikeng. They beat North West 11-7 in the final. Dayle Freemantle and Reece Nyland were selected for the 25 man SA Training squad which will be going to compete for South Africa in the World Series in Miami next year July.
Dayle Freemantle won pitcher of the tournament.
Tennis:
Gauteng North Spring Tournament (Run under Tennis South Africa): 9-11 October.
This is a ranking tournament with participants playing for South African ranking points.
Congratulations to the following boys:
- Abdul Haafiz won the u14 title
- James Kemp won the u16 title
- Zaid Patel and Christopher Taylor made the semi finals
- Zaid Patel and Abdul Haafiz won the u14 Doubles
- Westville had a boy in each of the semis in the u14 and u16 gold draws which is a great achievement.
Body boarding:
Congratulations to Liam Kavanagh who come 2nd in South Africa at SA Body Boarding Champs in Richards Bay where he competed for KZN.
