The WBHS Community have been shocked by the loss of two key staff members due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances. Mr Peter Bees died of a heart attack on Friday 22 June and Mr Germain Leonard was a passenger in a tragic car accident on Saturday 7 July.

Peter Bees was a well-know personality and national coach in aquatic sports, and coached Water-Polo and Swimming at WBHS. Prior to his death, Peter had been named as coach of the national Life-Saving team. The School plans to honour Peter by establishing a Water-Polo event at the School in his honour.

Germain Leonard was a respected young Science teacher and passionate coach of several sports particularly Basketball and Soccer. His outgoing and friendly personality was widely appreciated by all at the School, and he made a significant contribution to WBHS both inside and outside the classroom.

The Headmaster, Staff, Pupils and Governing Body of WBHS extend their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Peter and Germain.
