The WBHS Golfers at Sun City

Today WBHS takes to the greens at Sun City as the hosts of the Sun City WBHS Championships. This is the second year the event takes place – Westville won the inaugural event in 2016, as well as the Individual event (Garrett Field).

21 top Schools from South Africa and Zimbabwe are competing over the next three days for the title.

It is a great privilege for Westville Boys’ High School to host the 2017 Sun City Westville Boys High Championships.

Famous author on spiritual topics, Deepak Chopra, identifies the wisdom that Golf brings to everyday life: ‘mindfulness, clear perception, confrontation of emotions, and creative thinking because no two rounds are ever the same – every new lie is a challenge’.

Although we recognize this event as a showcase of the country’s young golfing talent, all the participating schools share the values and ethical approach that the game of Golf epitomizes – positive traits that are vital to the quality of life in general and particularly relevant to the betterment of our country today.

We look forward to four days of exhilarating Golf. Our young players will gain added motivation through their experience on the magnificent setting of the Lost City and Gary Player Country Club courses”.  Trevor Hall, Headmaster WBHS
