Our Sports Department have been hard at work trying to find new and creative ways to keep our boys fit and healthy during this difficult and unusual time!

This has proved to be quite a challenge at times with all the various regulations put in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19 but where there is a will, there is a way. With that being said, we would like to take this opportunity to share with you about our new virtual running club.

The Sports Department have started a new running club using the Strava App. The Strava App is a platform used to track and develop health and fitness goals on your smartphone, tablet or laptop. The App also has a feature that allows you to connect and follow the progress of other members.

We have created the “WBHS Running Club” on Strava to motivate and connect with our boys, staff, parents and community through living a healthy and active lifestyle.

To access our new virtual running club, you will need to start with downloading the Strava App from your App store on your smart device. The App is free of charge. Once downloaded, you will need to setup a profile for yourself. If you have a fitness watch, you will be able to link your current fitness app to Strava. Once you have setup your new profile, you will be able to search for our club under the “Explore” feature. You can then type in, “WBHS Running Club” into the search bar and proceed to join the club. That’s it, you’re now apart of the WBHS Running Community!

Lastly, one of the many fantastic features of the App is that it allows us to create “events” on our club page. We have already setup an inaugural 5KM run for this Saturday, 25 July. You will see that you are able to pick out your own 5KM route and do this at your own comfortable pace at any time of the day. We would love to have you join us and look forward to hearing your stories and seeing pictures from your run!

Stay safe WBHS Family. We’ll see you out on the roads!
