On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August, the annual KZN Inter-Schools championships were held at Beachwood Golf Course.The 2014 Champions, Hilton College, were favourites to retain the title but stville’s team had a point to prove. They have done consistently well this year and having previously won the Championships in 2013, they had a score to settle with their Midlands rivals. After two days of very exciting competition, Westville edged Hilton out by one shot!
Westville’s stalwart, Jason Broomhead won the individual title with fantastic scores of 71 and 68 over the 36 holes, edging out Matt Saulez from Michaelhouse by 5 shots. Congratulations to the Westville team including Jason Broomhead, Lisanthan Moodley, Tim Hayward, Jono Broomhead, Ryan Welsh, Dylan Underwood, Byron Thornton and Hanro Naude.
