Westville produced a fine display of running rugby to comprehensively defeat George Campbell 66 – 7 on Bowden’s Field on Saturday.
Westville scored ten tries with the centre pairing of Brad Ellse and Lindo Buthelezi both getting a brace to cap a fine display by the home team’s backline which scored eight tries on the day. The only forwards to get on the score sheet were lock Jordan Martin and No 8 Tyrone Jackson. George Campbell’s pack was competitive, especially at the breakdown, and they were physical and committed in defence but their backs simply had no match for the pace of the home team’s backs out wide.
To their credit, the visitors refused to lie down and they were rewarded with a try for their efforts in the final minutes of the game.
Westville have won nine games in a row and look to complete their season when they tackle Maritzburg College on Goldstones next Saturday.
