The International ISSA U19 Volleyball Tournament consists of 14 teams from Botswana, Gauteng, North West Province and KZN. All the Westville teams performed well against some very strong opposition, especially the u16A’s who competed against the U19 teams.
Both 1st and 2nd teams made it through to the through to the quarter-finals. The 1st team proceded to the semi finals, where skipper Duncan Brown led his team well. Well done to the 1st team who remained the top South African School and were awarded the Most Disciplined Team of the Tournament. Nathan Nadar was also awarded the Best Receiver of the Tournament.
The final results were as follows:
1st – Played – 6 Won 4 Lost 2 – Placed 4th overall
2nds –Played – 5 Won 2 Lost 3 – Placed 10th overall
16A– Played – 5 Won 2 Lost 3 – Placed 12th overall
