Westville boys finished off a very successful season this week by beating Maritzburg College 9- 8 midweek and Northwood 5-3 on the weekend.
Westville boys dominated both fixtures but leaked too many goals against a very physical College team and on Saturday against Northwood managed to put on a very strong defensive display.
The Westville 1st team has had an outstanding domestic season playing 8 games and winning 7, with good wins over DHS, Glenwood, Kearsney and Michaelhouse, before taking on College and Northwood.
Captain of Swimming and Water polo, Ryan Clark, has been rewarded for his great season with a place in the KZN U18 team. The rest of the team deserve much praise for all their hard work and being able to turn around a disappointing end of season in 2013, to the most successful first term in 2014 that WBHS has had in many a year.
The rest of the school’s Water polo teams have enjoyed a very good set of water polo results and the sport is growing every term.
